First stop for this Novembers workshop is the Valley of Fire about an hour north of Vegas. With some of most interesting colored and textures sandstone in the southwest it is a great location to start this shoot.
Sunset near the Fire Wave – Valley of Fire, Nevada
I used Topaz Labs software to process this image and in a few steps I was able to transform this image from an nice sunset image into a exception sunset. Often when I am on location the light and feel of the images cannot be completely captured by my cameras and I find that by using Topaz I am able to convey what I saw and felt in the processed file for printing.

Hello Paul, I really like what you are doing with the Topaz Software. Now that I have Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS6 via the Adobe Cloud Service I am really tempted to try Topaz. My only thought is that I may need to learn how to use LR and PS before delving into the plugins.
The enhancements in the Valley of Fire Sunset are amazing. The improvement in the clarity of detail and the enhancement in the colors in the sky and rock face turn a good photograph into a great one.
Hope you are having a good show this weekend.

Steve I am glad you like the way Topaz software enhances an image. The software is simplistic and user friendly they have a few videos online and if you watch one the interface for all of the software is the same.
