This morning I spent time photographing the Castillo de San Marcos in Saint Augustine, Florida. It is an interesting structure but what made the morning were the interesting cloud formations that rolled in over the fort and water while I was shooting.
I turned this image into Sepia black and white using Nix Software’s Silver Efex Pro and then merged the image with the original color image.
Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. Located on the shore of Matanzas Bay in the city of St. Augustine, Florida, construction was begun in 1672, 107 years after the cities founding by Spanish Admiral and conquistador Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, when Florida was part of the Spanish Empire.
